Touch is the first sense to develop in the womb and remains the most developed sense at birth.

Positive, nurturing touch is a wonderful way to help your baby feel safe, secure and loved. Baby massage can help you to better understand your baby’s own way of ‘talking’ to you, nurturing this special time during your baby’s early development. Baby Massage promotes good health, deepens bonding and strengthens communication and family relationships.

Easy to learn, fun and relaxing to do, baby massage provides early positive interaction and strengthens the bond the two of you share. By helping your baby to relax, you are giving him/her life-long tool with long-term benefits.

Good To Know

  • Classes are baby-led. It is okay for babies to cry, sleep or feed.

  • Massage is relaxing and stimulates internal organs. At the same time it can lead to the need for your baby to pee or poop! It is fine for them to do so!

  • You will be the only one massaging your baby; as an instructor I use a demonstration doll.

  • It is advisable for both you and your baby to wear comfortable clothes, as we will need to be sitting on the floor in a warm room and baby will be undressed.

  • At the end of the massage practice, parents and carers can share experiences and learn from each other while relaxing and having fun. I will facilitate the discussion. I will also encourage parents and carers to meet up outside of the group.

  • Recommended age for group classes is from 4 weeks to pre- crawling.

  • Private lessons for individuals are also available. You can contact me with any questions.

One of the main benefits of baby massage is learning to understand your baby’s cues, body language and confidently communicate nurturing touch.

Baby massage is best introduced in the first few weeks of life.  This is why I prefer to run baby massage classes in small groups , to encourage you to bond with your baby from as early as four weeks old.

The sessions are baby-lead, very informal and friendly.
